The Erotic Mind of Jesse Fox — Podcast #117 — 04/27/09

jfoxI have a really swell show in store for you today.   My guest is an award-winning erotic author who represents a very popular strain in erotic fiction.  Her work is rooted in the romance tradition and it represents a departure from the more hardcore erotic fiction penned by of some of my other guests.  I am so pleased to welcome Jesse Fox.  And in doing so I also introduce you to a mighty-mite of and online publisher, Dark Roast Press.

In my quest to bring you diverse perspectives on The Erotic Mind, I’ve been chatting with erotic artists of every stripe from all over the world.  Our aim, as you know, is to uncover something of the creative process involved with this specialized art form.

Today, I have yet another installment in my series of interviews called The Erotic Mind.  My guest is Dale Lazarov.  He chats with us in conjunction with his upcoming appearance at the internationally renowned Seattle Erotic Art’s Festival.

Dale is an erotic author and editor who works with an array of very talented graphic artists.  Together they produce an acclaimed line of gay oriented sexually explicit comics. Their collaborations, published by the distinguished German publisher, Bruno Gmuender, result in a celebration of joyful and playful lust. In fact, the comics are so well done; they convey their storyline without using any words.  No mean feat that, I can tell ya!

Today, I have yet another installment in my series of interviews called The Erotic Mind.  You’ll notice right away that there’s a distinctly international flair to this week’s podcast.  Why?  Because I have the good fortune of introducing you to an up and coming erotic artist, who joins us from his home in Paris, France, don’t cha know.  His name is Benoît Prévot.

moiThis all started some weeks ago when I was aimlessly poking around some of my favorite websites.  One site in particular, the beautiful and thoughtful Fairview (A site, I might add, that is a work of art all on its own.) is the loving creation of a fellow blogger, Sue.  It was on her handsome site that I first encountered this Parisian wonder.  When I happen upon Ben’s comic illustrations I knew for certain that I had to chat with him for this series.

Sex EDGE-U-cation with KinkedKenny – Podcast #108 – 03/18/09

Today I have the distinct pleasure of welcoming a true original in the world of erotic photography, Kenny Lee, a.k.a. KinkedKenny.  He is also an ardent practitioner of the lifestyle he so skillfully captures in his art.

kenny1Kenny is my third guest in this new series of podcast interviews I’m doing called Sex EDGE-U-cation.   We’re taking a look at the world of fetish sex, kink and alternative sexual lifestyles.  But Kenny is also my first 2-fer guest, because he comfortably straddles both The Erotic Mind podcast series, that I do on Mondays, and this series I’m doing on Wednesdays. So we will be picking his brain on both topics.

Kenny is first and foremost a photographer, but he is also a storyteller.  He shoots fashion as well as kink, but whatever he shoots you can be sure that it will push the envelope.  His photography can be both exquisitely beautiful and stunningly disturbing.  And often his images are both of these things at the same time.

Besides being a brilliant photographer, he is in his very own element when exploring the world of kink.  Like his photos, Kenny is “Raw, Dark, Twisted and Real”.
